HARMONY CENTRAL - CRAZY HORSE

Customer Support : 10 - Durham's presence is all over the net and from what I read on his my Space site he is very approachable. kind and helpful - really!
Overall Rating : 10 - cool pedal - great concept - I actually own a 59 Deluxe, a '54 reissue goldtop with a Firebird pickup (1976) in the bridge (although i prefer the Loolar 90 in the neck better). I play Powderfinger almost as good as the feelies. Been there and do that once and a while. This pedal is very flexible within a very narrow bandwidth - this is a great concept. I am the kind of guy that would never purchase an "experienced" digital emulation of every hendrix wah sound or a "crossroads" of every clapton ios g-d tonality. I am committed to analog be it a 1969 Sola Fuzz Fazer or this crazy horse thing - Durham got it right and it does add some useful chaos in the harmonics - try it and see if you like it - i do.
ToneQuest Review - SEX DRIVE
January 2007:
"This is a tool that does not change the fundamental tone of your rig, but adds harmonic content, chime, and drive in carefully calibrated dribs and drabs. No rude, crude gain monster sucking high frequencies and pushing mids in your face--the Sex Drive is as subtle and considerate of your precious tone as any pedal we have ever used, and in our opinion it is the ultimate device for creating gorgeous, crunchy rhythms from an otherwise clean amp. We've heard meaner, stronger OD pedals for heavy soloing, but the Sex Drive is a remarkably useful device for players that appreciate the considerable weight and value of a well-played, hard-rockin' rhythm track with attitude. In a world teeming with "me-too" pedals, you'll find the spot that gets you hot in about five seconds with the Sex Drive. This one is special, people, and for the discerning player, absolutely worth the $219 ticket."
Just got the Crazy Horse and WOW!!! Absolutely amazing, I've never bought an overdrive or a fuzz pedal because most of whats on the market is just too cookie cutter, not enough tonal variances, and I've test drove many, but when I plugged my new Crazy Horse in I was blown away. So many different tone options, I never expected it to be that amazing thick lush analog tone through my little 5 watt epi amp. i can't wait to try it on an amp with a little more power. Thank You, amazing pedal keep up the great work. I would love to see a chorus pedal at some point down the line.

HARMONY CENTRAL - MUCHO BUSTO

Ease of Use : 10 - Simple to use and easy to get great tones right out of the box--only three controls and a switch to fiddle with.
Sound Quality : 10 - My set-up is minimal, I've dumbed down my gear for live shows to a maple neck telecaster-Mucho Boosto-66 Super Reverb or Germino Masonette amp. I used to lug around a lot of pedals, but now I keep it simple. I'm not a crazy tone purist but I've grown to prefer the tone of my guitar straight into the amp. Unlike most of the drive pedals I had used before now, this one doesn't drastically alter or color my tone. It is not totally transparent but it sure is close. I set it for a mild overdrive sound and the tone is excellent. The last reviewer said that the pedal was inspiring and that is true. The Mucho Boosto makes me want to play and I am more confident about my tone. I advise everyone to go to a store and try one of these out.
Reliability : 10 - The pedal is expertly made from high quality parts so it should hold up for a long time.
Overall Rating : 10 - I've played in bands off and on for about 13 years and have gone thru a lot of overdrive pedals (boutique and mass produced), and this one is a keeper. I would quickly replace it if it were lost or stolen. The Mucho Boosto quickly became a crucial part of my sound.
